How we're funded

• What our writers are free to praise or criticise.

Our writers decide their verdict based on their stay and on genuine guest sentiment — before any commission is ever counted. If a hotel with an affiliate agreement disappoints, we say so plainly, as our reviews demonstrate. If a partnership ever conflicted with an honest assessment, the honest assessment would win.
