Our commitment
goldenwinkingdom.info aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and to align with the applicable accessibility standards in the regions we serve. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page;
- Provide descriptive alternative text for hotel and destination images;
- Maintain colour contrast that aims to meet AA thresholds for body text;
- Ensure interactive elements — menus, forms and buttons — can be operated with a keyboard;
- Label form fields clearly and surface helpful error messages;
- Design layouts that reflow for small screens and larger text sizes.
Accessibility of the hotels we review
We know that a hotel's own accessibility is what matters most for many travellers. Our reviews aim to note relevant details — step-free access, lifts, accessible bathrooms — where our writers observe them. However, features change and are best confirmed directly. If accessibility is essential to your stay, we strongly recommend phoning the property to confirm the specifics of a room before you book. You'll find each hotel's phone number on its review page.
Known limitations
Some third-party components, such as embedded maps, may not be fully accessible. Where a map is used, the hotel's full address is always provided in text nearby.
